- Maybe this is the wrong group in which to post this, but I must ask...
-
- I've noticed over the last several weeks that when I load up the newsgroups to
- which I'm subscribed, I often get old articles. What I mean by this is that I
- get some articles that I know I've already seen, I get old (predated) articles
- I haven't seen, and when there are old articles, I notice that there are gaps
- (for example, today, April 9, there was a whole mess of articles from April 4,
- and older then they skipped right to April 9) between really old articles and
- the fresh ones for today. Oh, and it happens to all my newsgroups.
-
- I was just wondering if anybody had an idea what this could be; is it normal?
- I use Win95 for dial-up networking to my ISP and I use NewsXpress for the
- reader. There is an option in setup for "Ignore old articles" and this option
- is checked. Could this be some defect in the software or is it something to
- do with my ISP or their internet provider? It's mostly just annoying, having
- to go through marking hundreds of old articles as "read" when I could be
- reading nice, fresh articles...
-
- Thanks for any replies.
